The Big Sleep: Where Men are Men and Dames are Dames
Raymond Chandler's 1939 novel The Big Sleep, one of the first popular noir detective novels, brought Philip Marlowe, LA detective, to us all. It was later made into a movie with Bogart and Bacall.

Alexander McQueen, arguably fashion's best and brightest of the last 10 years, was found dead today. He was a talent.

Won the Pulitzer in 1972 for Angle and also one of the nation's foremost environmental conservationists. He was a special assistant to the Secretary of the Interior Stewart Udall and on the Sierra Club's BoDs.
